Before entering the main roster as a commentator, Graves was a full-time wrestler and is a former NXT world tag team champion with his partner, former cruiserweight champion, Neville.
Unfortunately, Graves was forced to retire from in ring action due to numerous concussions he accumulated throughout his career. However, with the recent news that Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return, is there any hope for "The Savior of Misbehavior"?
Here's what Graves had to say about that:
"I think I'd be lying if I said there wasn't always something of a little glimmer of hope that something miraculously would change. But I've fully embraced my role now… I'm cool with wearing suits and talking about other people for a while, because I can hopefully do this a lot longer."
This year, Graves will be announcing his first WrestleMania and he expressed his excitement when asked the question about calling the big event, stating that he “gets goosebumps talking about it”.
While Graves appreciates the praise he receives on his commentary, he keeps legends like Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura on a pedestal that is still a long way away from where he is:
"They are mythical creatures to me. I'd love to be in the same breath as them, but I probably won't accept it someday, maybe not until I'm gone."
