Stone Cold Steve Austin has become a fixture at the Showcase of the Immortals, but he won't be part of this year's WrestleMania in Tampa, Florida. The WWE Hall of Famer and six-time WWE Champion revealed in a recent interview with Wrestling Inc. that he won't be part of the event this time around.
"They didn’t reach out to me this year," Austin admitted. "I think they got their hands full with what they’re doing. I think it only makes sense for me to come back maybe in Texas or LA. It’d be great to go back to Dallas. So we’ll see what happens there, but I’m fine sitting at the house watching this one."
"We’ve been trying to move out of LA and move permanently over here to Nevada," he added. "So we’ve had a ton of stuff going on. I’ll be watching. I’m okay not being there."
It's not a bad thing that WWE isn't packing the two-night show too much, and with a star like Austin, it makes much more sense to save him for something bigger than a guest spot. As it stands, Hulk Hogan has been enlisted to present WrestleMania, though not everyone is happy with that decision.
The WWE Hall of Famers from the past two years are bound to be involved in the Show of Shows somehow, of course, so there will be some big stars from the past along with those from today!
