After Roman Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, he disappeared from television and Solo Sikoa made moves to take over The Bloodline.
Solo took out Jimmy Uso and enlisted Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu before brutally attacking Paul Heyman as well. The OTC returned at SummerSlam, of course, and has been feuding with his cousin ever since.
Most recently, they clashed inside WarGames when the OG Bloodline (joined by CM Punk) battled Solo's new faction (who got a helping hand from Bronson Reed). Reigns' group won and the Head of the Table will clash with Solo in a singles match during the first RAW on Netflix.
Now, though, it looks like the war to determine who the rightful Tribal Chief is getting an added, interesting new wrinkle.
According to @WrestleVotes, "Sources indicate WWE has discussed introducing a Tribal Chief Championship into the storyline between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, similar to the People’s Championship presented to The Rock at WrestleMania earlier this year."
We're not sure why that's needed with the Ula Fala in play and throwing another largely meaningless title into the mix - joining The Rock's pointless People's Championship - is a somewhat questionable decision on WWE's part.
It doesn't sound like the Final Boss has any involvement with this potential new title, though it's easy to imagine that and his belt coming into play if he and Reigns clash at WrestleMania (perhaps creating a new unified...something).
In 2022, Sikoa talked about what he'd learned from Reigns. "I think just carrying myself as a superstar, as a top guy. I always watch how he moves, how he carries himself, how he presents himself, how he talks, just his body language."
"I remember him telling me, ‘Before show time starts, I carry myself different," he continued. "It’s different when I’m in the back and I’m talking to you and your brothers. But when the red light comes on, stand up straight, puff your chest out and you walk different.’ I remember that now."
"I’m in the back and I’m kind of slouched over talking with my brothers. Then when our music hits, I’m three inches taller than I was before," Sikoa concluded.
Stay tuned for updates.
