Whenever WWE goes head to head with Monday Night Football, ratings are not in their favour. However, this weekend, the company is attempting to capitalise on the popularity of the Super Bowl by bringing back Halftime Heat. As you may recall, WWE once put on a Halftime Heat match in 1999 that saw The Rock take on Mick Foley during the halftime Super Bowl show which was a ratings hit.

This edition will be aired on the WWE Network and it's expected to feature the team of Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream and Ricochet vs. Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole.

It's also going to air on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and WWE.com and that should work out well for WWE, especially as a lot of fans aren't going to have any interest seeing Maroon 5 perform!
