We told you earlier today that WWE has swapped next January's NXT TakeOver special with a Worlds Collide show but that's not the only big change being made to the Royal Rumble weekend. According to Dave Meltzer, there will no longer be four shows in the same area.

In previous years for shows like this, the main PPV takes place in a larger building while TakeOver, RAW, and SmackDown Live all hail from the same building (in SummerSlam's case, all four shows were in the same place).

In the case of next year's Royal Rumble weekend, SmackDown Live will be held in Dallas on the Friday, Worlds Collide will go down in Houston's Toyota Center, the Royal Rumble happens at Houston's Minute Maid Park, and RAW will hail from San Antonio.

That's a big change but one which might help counter poor ticket sales for recent PPVs.
