All Elite Wrestling looks set to be the first real competition to WWE since WCW went out of business and the fact owner Tony Khan can afford to pay talent big money is definitely a threat to Vince McMahon's company. That led to Chris Jericho signing a three-year deal with them and it's thought that a number of unhappy WWE Superstars could ultimately choose to jump ship to AEW.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reveals that WWE has told wrestlers that if they can show on paper the offer they've received from another company, they will not only beat it but even double it on the spot if they agree to sign a WWE deal immediately. That's a pretty big commitment from WWE and a sign that they'll do whatever it takes to stop AEW from rivalling them.

It's also said that Vince is trying to avoid the idea that people want to leave and doesn't want them thinking they can make more elsewhere. The fact is they are able to make considerably more on the independent scene these days and we're going to see the wrestling world undergo some major changes over the next few years as a result. As always, be sure to stay tuned for further details.
