At Bad Blood on Sunday night, The Rock made his shock return to WWE and stared down Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his cousin, Roman Reigns.
With Solo Sikoa forming his own Bloodline, we're intrigued to learn how the Final Boss factors into that (the prevailing theory among fans right now is that he's behind the faction turning on the Original Tribal Chief).
Today, WrestleVotes is reporting that one idea on the table for WrestleMania 41 is a huge Triple Threat match.
"My thought is it signifies that’s where we’re going for WrestleMania. 1-2-3 as in Triple Threat match," the insider reveals. "Yeah, I can tell you that’s on the table. I don’t know for sure if it’s been finalized in any way. It’s October 8."
"I doubt it’s been finalized, but that idea has been floated and I think it makes the most sense for the company to get those three guys in the ring."
This would be a huge match and take the pressure off The Rock to perform in a singles bout (something that's easier said than done given his age and how long he's spent away from the ring).
Talking to the Manchester Evening News, Rhodes recently addressed how Kevin Owens attacking him after Bad Blood could play into the WrestleMania build.
"I'd be foolish to try and tell you anything different because the entire video exists online and you can see every inch of it. I'll try and keep my remarks short in terms of how I feel but I will tell you this," he started. "It's a very passionate industry, everybody wants the north star of our business which is the WWE championship and the championship that I hold at this time."
"Pro Wrestling and sports entertainment tends to like dive into that. Perhaps it does, or perhaps it's dealt internally. I overall, I did feel very happy about my match at Bad Blood. I was happy for the city of Atlanta, that being the city that raised me," the American Nightmare continued. "Everything happened and appeared and I was happy for Atlanta and the WWE because it feels like the road to Wrestlemania started early this year."
Rhodes will battle Sikoa in a Steel Cage match at WWE's non-televised live events in the UK this week and noted, "In terms of where I'd like to get to by Wrestlemania, I would think that Roman Reigns will step in start handling is own Bloodline business and allow me to handle business elsewhere. Until then I have no qualms about fighting Solo Sikoa."
Stay tuned for updates.
