For obvious reasons, WWE rarely does male vs. female intergender matches. Those were featured heavily during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era, though there's one bout that's big enough to potentially change WWE's mind.

Rhea Ripley has been feuding with Liv Morgan for months now, with one of the biggest twists coming when Dominik Mysterio turned his back on the Eradicator.

Since then, WWE has allowed Ripley to get her hands on "Dirty" Dom on a handful of occasions. Typically, he escapes, and if it feels this is leading to something bigger, it's because there's a very good chance it is.

On a recent edition of a Backstage Pass Q&A, @WrestleVotes revealed, "I know it’s been brought up. Unfortunately, I don’t know how high it’s made it, but there is a real desire on some level of creative to do this match before the angle fizzles out. Yes."

The insider added, "I don’t know how far down the table it went. From a lower end, yes, there’s an anticipation of getting something out of this."

In other news, it sounds like WWE does indeed have something in the works for WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. At the Bad Blood PLE, he attempted to confront Gunther after the World Heavyweight Champion insulted him and it's widely believed that he's now signed a Legends contract with the company.

While it's unclear whether Goldberg will get the final match we know Vince McMahon failed to give him, the prolific leaker teased, "Yes, I don’t know for sure, but there are plans for Goldberg in the future, yes."

Last month, Ripley took a shot at Dom when she said, "You can tell a man has daddy issues when he gets so excited about being called ‘daddy.’ He’s just got family issues, let’s be honest. Because now he’s saying that I made him call me ‘mami,’ and he never liked calling me ‘mami.’ Like, you got problems, my dude, because you came up with that by yourself."

The former Women's World Champion added, "Dom had to get out of Rey’s shadow. Rey was picking Edge over his own son … I do think that Rey was in the wrong. But at the same time, I think that Dom has hurt me in a bigger way than Rey ever hurt me. So he’s more in my good books than Dom is right now."
