The Bludgeon Brothers have been making quite the impact on SmackDown Live in recent weeks but they took their game to a whole new level at Fastlane when the dominant duo attacked both The Usos and The New Day during last night's title match. Poor Xavier Woods suffered the brunt of their wrath and WWE has now shared a storyline injury update on how exactly he's currently faring.

Apparently, Woods suffered an injury to his thoracic spine due to The Bludgeon Brothers' brutal attack. "Our preliminary diagnosis is multiple thoracic contusions," explained WWE medical personnel of Woods’ injury. "We’re currently in the process of having him evaluated with X-rays and possibly an MRI for any further damage, such as ruptured discs or fractures of the thoracic spine."

The injury came as a result of a Double Powerbomb onto the steel steps but Woods will no doubt recover in time for WrestleMania. It's widely believed that all three of these teams will clash at the Showcase of the Immortals and it's hard not to be excited about that. Are you excited to see how things play out with the three teams? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
