WWE RAW Ratings Got Another Big Boost Following The GREAT BALLS OF FIRE PPV

More good news for WWE this week as RAW ratings once again spiked, this time seemingly because of the fallout from the epic battle between Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire this past Sunday.

WWE has needed some good news in terms of ratings for a while now and while things have been improving lately, it seems the Great Balls of Fire PPV was exactly what the company needed to give RAW a truly significant boost. In fact, the fallout from that event led to the show getting the second highest number of views since mid-April!

According to the hourly breakdowns, the first hour got 3.049 million viewers, hour two got 3.074 million viewers, and the third dropped (as per usual) with a still very good 2.905 million viewers.

In recent months, RAW has been losing upwards of 300,000 viewers by the time that third hour has rolled around so this is a very good result for them. It probably helps that Great Balls of Fire teased a heel turn for Roman Reigns (it didn't happen), Brock Lesnar's possible opponents for SummerSlam, and the mystery surrounding Kurt Angle.

With SummerSlam right around the corner, WWE will be pulling out all the stops, especially before NFL Football returns to Monday nights this September. We'll let you know if there have been any major changes with SmackDown Live as soon as the latest figures are in.
