As previously reported, Bobby Roode was a recent guest on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia. The WWE RAW superstar details his wrestling career from TNA to WWE. Roode recalls his final months in Impact Wrestling over his career.
Roode worked for the company for about 12 years and he’s held nearly every title known to man in Impact Wrestling, The 41-year old was in the midst of teaming with his Beer Money tag team partner James Storm, but nearing the age of 40 then, Roode just didn’t have the same passion wrestling in the company that he once did:
"I was reaching that 40 years old, in and around that age and I was like, 'I don't think I can do this.' I don't think I can go out there and sit at home for 6-8 weeks and then have me come to work and expect me to work 8 days in a row, twice a day in a studio of 200 people and really be able to give it my all. For me, just the passion was starting to go away and in my mind I was thinking like, 'If I don't want to leave my house and I don't want to do what I've loved to do for the last 17 years, then I really have to rethink what I want to do here.'"
The former United States champion also talks about speaking with Triple H for the first time, his debut back in the WWE in 1998, and so much more. Check out the Lilian Garcia podcast,
