John Cena's final match takes place at this weekend's Saturday Night's Main Event, and we have everything you need to know about the 17-time WWE Champion's farewell.

The show takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The broadcast is set to begin at 8pm E/5pm PT/1am BST. The show will stream exclusively on Peacock in the U.S., and on YouTube for those of you who are overseas.

Much has been said about former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and President Donald Trump possibly being present for the event, but that's looking increasingly unlikely as we get closer to Cena's retirement.

Here's the confirmed match card for Saturday Night's Main Event:

John Cena's Retirement Match
John Cena vs. Gunther

Champion vs. Champion (Non-Title) Match
Cody Rhodes (Undisputed WWE Champion) vs. Oba Femi (NXT Champion)

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match
AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) vs. Je'Von Evans & Leon Slater

Bayley vs. Sol Ruca

So, another show with only four matches as of now. This doesn't feel like the NXT showcase that we were originally promised, as it means only four future stars are being spotlighted (the Bayley vs. Sol Ruca feels very...random).

While Cena's time as an active wrestler is nearly over, he recently confirmed that he's signed a new 5-year deal with the company.

"I will be an ambassador to WWE. I am already signed on for another five years," the Leader of the Cenation revealed. "I would like to be in this family as an employee and as a contributing part for as long as I can."

"I can’t match up with the product now, and that’s okay because what I do isn’t who I am," he continued. "I’m looking forward to the second mountain of being an ambassador because maybe ambassadorship comes with letting more people know to watch [WWE], which was my goal in the first place."

It's been widely reported that WWE plans to induct Cena into the Hall of Fame next year. That makes sense, but it's also something that will depend on his Hollywood schedule (and whether there's more money to be made from that happening in Saudi Arabia in 2027).

Stay tuned for more updates on Saturday Night's Main Event.
