This week's SmackDown Live featured an explanation for Sami Zayn's heel turn, a match to decide new #1 contenders for the Tag Team Championships, and AJ Styles' rematch with Baron Corbin for the United States Championship (which saw him lose cleanly to the Lone Wolf). So, how did the show do dealing with all that fallout from the extremely entertaining Hell in a Cell PPV?

SmackDown Live drew 2.467 million viewers in total and that's up from last week's 2.323 million viewers. That was the lowest number since June so this is a big improvement for the Tuesday night show.

In comparison, this Monday's RAW drew a total of 2.871 million viewers and while the flagship show is still ahead, the gap is closing and it could get closer and closer as football season continues this fall.
