Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown (September 12, 2025) emanates out of the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia and will air at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.

This post here will be updated frequently throughout the night to reflect live coverage of Friday Night SmackDown, including all the match results, rundowns of the promos, and any other interesting or noteworthy things that takes place. Keep refreshing for updates to find out all the winners and more!

Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight's episode, Brock Lesnar is set to make an appearance. Last week, he made his SmackDown return to ruin John Cena's match against Sami Zayn for the United States Championship, taking out both of them and the referee. With Cena not scheduled to appear, there is a good chance Lesnar just cuts a promo, but he could very well get involved in some physicality with Zayn, who should realistically be looking to get some revenge for suffering The Beast Incarnate's wrath.

Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton will renew their rivalry from SummerSlam after The Viper had returned a few weeks back to attack The Scottish Warrior. My guess is McIntyre will be victorious to help set him up even more for a future title match against Cody Rhodes at Wrestlepalooza.

Speaking of title matches, another rematch from SummerSlam will take place as Jade Cargill gets another opportunity against Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship. I do not anticipate a title change happening here, but never say never. It just feels like this is going to be another one of those situations where Nia Jax inserts herself into the match, causing a double disqualification, that leads to yet another match down the line, with this being a Triple Threat so Jax can take the pin. Maybe that's at Wrestlepalooza, or at Crown Jewel, but I could imagine Cargill potentially winning the title there much more than winning it here on SmackDown, for sure.

All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - September 12, 2025:

  • Brock Lesnar started the show with a promo that was immediately interrupted by R-Truth before he could even speak. Since John Cena isn't there tonight, and R-Truth wanted to stand up for his childhood hero, Ron Killings ended up being the one to suffer The Beast Incarnate's wrath.
  • Sami Zayn retained the Men's United States Championship  in an Open Challenge match over Rey Fenix by pinfall.
  • Earlier today, Kiana James and Giulia gloated to B-Fab about how they "made an example" of Michin, setting up a match.
  • Giulia vs B-Fab didn't end up actually happening as B-Fab and Michin fought with Giulia and Kiana James.
  • WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill ended in a double count out. Nia Jax then beat them both up.
  • Backstage, Nick Aldis was approached by Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre, leading to Aldis agreeing for them to face the winners of the tag team title match between The Culling and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair. He also tells The Miz that he's given Carmelo Hayes the title match he's requested, which Miz misinterprets as a tag team title match. Later, Zayn told Melo not to miss, and Melo had a discussion with The Miz about how The Miz had previously held bot the United States and tag team titles at the same time.
  • Drew McIntyre defeated Randy Orton by pinfall. Cody Rhodes returned, fought with McIntyre, and called for them to have a match at Wrestlepalooza.
