According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has started telling talent that once the new USA/FOX television deals begin later this year, their new contracts will be "way up" from previous deals. That's certainly one way to convince talent to stick around in a time when jumping to All Elite Wrestling looks mighty tempting.

Here's how Meltzer describes the way WWE is going to be handling paying WWE Superstars from here:

"Because this is no longer a house-show driven and PPV-driven business, but a guaranteed TV rights-driven business, the old way of paying based on house shows and PPV numbers really is an anachronism from an era where to a degree, at least for the top guys, it did make sense. Even now you’ve got a downside but the chance if you are used well to beat that number."

Apparently, new contracts could be like sports leagues where the amount of money that the talents sign for would be what they make with a few bonus exceptions. That would be new for the wrestling world but is arguably better than relying on PPV sales (a non-factor since the WWE Network launched) and house show attendance figures. What do you guys think?
