At this month's SummerSlam PLE, WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton defended her title against rising star Jade Cargill. Many fans expected the former AEW star to walk out with the title, only for "Tiffy Time" to continue following a 7-minute back-and-forth match.

Some fans have been critical about the length of that match. However, during a recent podcast appearance, Stratton defended how things played out, reminding people that she and Cargill didn't exactly have a major "blood feud" going on.

"I feel like we didn’t have this like insane life or death story going into SummerSlam, so I didn’t really feel like we needed — like you said — an insane 40-minute long match," Stratton shared. "I thought it was a very competitive match, it was very fast. And I think that’s all we really needed. So I’m actually really pleased with how my match went at SummerSlam with Jade Cargill."

"Going into SummerSlam, I was so nervous. It was my first SummerSlam ever," she added. "So that alone was just so nerve-wracking. But, thankfully, I pulled through and I beat Little Miss Jade Cargill."

Stratton later named Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch as two dream opponents for the future.

Earlier this month, Cargill opened up on her WWE run and how it's differed from AEW. "The schedule is demanding. I knew that coming into it, talking to Cody, talking to people who are already here...they told me how it was," she acknowledged. "But you never know how something is until you’re actually in it."

"A lot of people, they have those relationships from NXT, so they all have been on road trips together. They’ve grown together," Cargill continued. "I’m coming in right now. Who does she think she is? At the end of the day, I don’t control the settings. I’m just a player on the board."

"Working with people who came from the the Indies [in AEW], it’s a whole different type of...wrestler. I was doing crazy things that I loved it like, because it showed me every day, 'Oh my gosh. I can do this. I can do that."
