WWE WRESTLEMANIA May Finally Be Heading To The United Kingdom
British wrestling fans have been waiting for another PPV to be held on their side of the pond since 1992 and a new report points to a future WrestleMania making its way outside the US for the first time.
Next year's WrestleMania will be held in New Orleans, but beyond that, we have no idea which cities will be next to welcome the Showcase of the Immortals. Minneapolis has been fighting for the show for years now, but could the annual event make its way to the United Kingdom at some point in the next few years?
According to The Independent, WWE is considering London as a future host for WrestleMania. The last major PPV to be held in the UK was SummerSlam at Wembley Stadium in 1992 and considering the fact the UK is WWE's second largest market and their clear desire to launch a weekly TV show in the country based around the United Kingdom Championship, this news does make a lot of sense.
The time difference is obviously an issue, but the WWE Network has almost made that a moot point, so it's going to be interesting seeing whether or not these plans come together. UK fans will certainly be hoping so and it a setting on this side of the pond would certainly make this particular WrestleMania something special!
