Winter is coming.

Before AEW’s annual Winter is Coming show on December 11th, Tony Khan has confirmed several new matches on this week’s episode of Dynamite. The promotion is currently in the midst of their Continental Classic tournament that could determine a new champion once it’s all said and done.

The tournament began last week and produced several bangers such as Brody King/Darby Allin and Kazuchika Okada/Daniel Garcia, but this week’s lineup looks even better!

In the first match, AEW Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli will step into the ring against Brody King in the Gold League. Castagnoli comes off a strong win over Richocet on Dynamite. Brody King had a dominant performance over his old foe, Darby Allin. This is a rematch from last year's Continental Classic that saw King pull off an upset victory over Castagnoli:

In the Blue League, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin will take on AEW’s fastest rising star - Kyle Fletcher. This will be the first ever meeting between the two pro wrestlers.

Benjamin is fresh off a strong win over former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe. Kyle Fletcher added another w onto his resume with an impressive victory over The Beast Mortos on last week's episode of Collison.

Below is the confirmed line-up for the December 4th show this Wednesday:

  • Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal: Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Brian Cage, Lance Archer, Mark Davis, Komander, plus 6 more
  • Continental Classic: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brody King in the Gold League
  • Continental Classic: Shelton Benjamin vs. Kyle Fletcher in the Blue League
  • PAC vs Jay White
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Max Caster

There hasn’t been any segments confirmed for the upcoming show, but it would be shocking if The Death Ryders didn’t have a couple of segments that continue to show off their dominance over the AEW roster.

On paper, the upcoming Dynamite episode looks like a strong one. We’ll keep you updated if there’s any more announcements made.
