Rampage just became a must see episode this Friday.
That’s because the Continental and TNT Champion will compete on the one-hour show. Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia had a tremendous match that ended in a draw on Collision, so the former is looking to rebound by getting his first victory. The Continental Champion will fight Mark Briscoe, who isn’t particularly off to a hot start himself.
The former ROH World Champion failed to beat Shelton Benjamin on Dynamite, and considering how terrible Briscoe’s record was in the 2023 tournament, the 39-year-old is hoping to not slip back into that terrible record again this year.
Other than his draw against Kazuchika Okada, Daniel Garcia has been on quite the roll since returning to AEW full time after All Out. The 26-year-old is fresh off his TNT title win over Jack Perry at Full Gear and hopes to keep that momentum going by getting one over the AEW newcomer,The Beast Mortos.
Mortos is also coming off a loss to Kyle Fletcher on Collision, so he’ll surely be hoping to rebound with a possible victory over the TNT Champion.
But with two champions competing on Rampage, it overshadows the former United States Champion Ricochet taking on Komander. Komander is the replacement for Juice Robinson, who suffered an unfortunate injury that forced him out of the Continental Classic.
Ricochet is hoping to bounce back after a hard fought loss to Claudio Castagnoli on Dynamite. The former WWE star hasn’t been as lucky lately due to his loss against Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship. Can Ricochet finally break his streak in losses by overcoming a man who’s very similar to the former WWE star?
