Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite (January 29, 2025) takes place in the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama.

This post will be updated throughout the evening to reflect live coverage of all the important information, noteworthy things that transpire, winners for all the match results, recaps of promo/talking segments and more. Keep refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:

On tap for tonight's episode, Jeff Jarret will face Claudio Castagnoli in a match where if Jarrett is victorious, he will receive a future title shot against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. This came about after Jarrett called out Moxley last week, only to be jumped by Castagnoli. Typically speaking, these No. 1 contender's type situations don't get put out there without it coming true, so don't be surprised if Jarrett comes out victorious.

Jarrett's been feuding with Maxwell Jacob Friedman as of late, and MJF made it abundantly clear he was willing to help Jarrett find his way to becoming world champion mostly because he thinks Jarrett would be an easier person to beat for the title to regain his Triple B. This week, MJF is set to have a promo segment, which will undoubtedly be in response to his feud with Double J. For all we know, MJF may even help Jarrett beat Castagnoli in order to prove his statement correct that it's better to make a deal with the devil than to defy him.

Mercedes Mone will also be in action to defend her TBS Championship (one of her four championships) against Yuka Sakazaki, who earned the title opportunity by winning a four-way eliminator match on last week's episode of Collision against Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata, and Serena Deeb. The smart money is always on Mone (no pun intended), particularly against someone like Sakazaki, who has never truly been much in contention to win any championship in AEW yet.

Finally, Will Ospreay is set to battle it out with Brian Cage to further along the story of Ospreay and Kenny Omega against The Don Callis Family ahead of their Grand Slam match teaming up to face Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. Cage will certainly take the fall here, and it's almost a guarantee this segment will involve a brawl.

Here are your results for AEW Dynamite January 29, 2025:

  • Starting off the show, footage was shown of Kenny Omega having been attacked backstage. Will Ospreay defeated Brian Cage by pinfall. After the match, Ospreay and Kenny Omega were beaten down by The Don Callis Family.
  • Backstage, Renee Paquette was hoping to get a word from Swerve Strickland, but Hangman Adam Page came out of Swerve's locker room to say he wasn't there. Page didn't want to talk about Christopher Daniels when asked, and bumped into MJF, who called Jeff Jarrett's run right now "The Last Outlaw's Last Ride."
  • Powerhouse Hobbs isn't cleared for tonight, but when he is, he's going to show Big Bill that Hell is just the beginning.
  • Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jeff Jarrett by pinfall in part due to interference from Jon Moxley. MJF came out after the match to say "I told you so" and to attack Jarrett.
  • Ricochet tells Renee Paquette that instead of answering her questions now, he wants an interview with her on Collision instead.
  • Ricochet then defeated AR Fox by pinfall and was about to attack Fox with scissors after the match, but Swerve Strickland made the save.
  • "Switchblade" Jay White defeated Wheeler Yuta by pinfall. After the match, Death Riders attacked White, who was saved by Rated FTR (Cope, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood). FTR then challenged the Death Riders to a Mid-South Street Fight for Collision.
  • Mariah May talked trash about Toni Storm.
  • A video package hypes up the return of The Gunns, followed by more vignettes of The Hurt Syndicate and Konosuke Takeshita.
  • Backstage, The Vendetta (Taya Valkyrie and Deonna Purrazzo) are upset at Harley Cameron for her interference in the four-way on last week's Collision, and plan on taking what they feel like they deserve.
  • TBS Championship Match: Mercedes Mone (c) retained over Yuka Sakazaki by pinfall.
