Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite (May 21, 2025) takes place at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will air starting at 8 p.m. on TBS.
This post will be updated throughout the evening to reflect live coverage of all the important information, noteworthy things that transpire, winners for all the match results, recaps of promo/talking segments and more. Keep refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight's episode, both the men's and women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finalists will be having "face-to-face" segments. Effectively, that means we can expect to see "Hangman" Adam Page and Will Ospreay have an argument in the ring and talk trash to one another at one point in the show, and Mercedes Money will do the same with Jamie Hayter. Whether or not any of that gets physical is not confirmed, but expected.
Mina Shirakawa is in action against Julia Hart. Shirakawa pinned "Timeless" Toni Storm last week in an eliminator four-way match to earn a title shot for the AEW Women's World Championship at Double or Nothing. With Storm on commentary, you can expect Shirakawa to beat Hart and have yet another face-to-face moment with Storm to try to build up some hype for that match, after Storm fills the commentary booth with as many innuendos as she can do in her alotted time.
MJF is also set to have his contract signing to join The Hurt Syndicate. Given how this has gone down, don't be shocked if it goes south. I'd personally love to see Cedric Alexander show up and be the new member instead, and to have a match between Alexander and MJF added to the lineup for Double or Nothing.
As this is the go-home show heading into Double or Nothing, we also need to settle on any other matches added to the show, including who is competing in the Anarchy in the Arena match. It'll set up some Collision matches, too, as Collision will be taped after Dynamite.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite May 21, 2025:
- Face-to-Face: "Hangman" Adam Page and Will Ospreay both gave their reasons for why they're motivated to win the Owen Hart Cup. Apparently, they'll be the main event for Double or Nothing.
- All Star Trios Match: The Opps (Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs) and Swerve Strickland defeaTed Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) by pinfall. Katsuyori Shibata came out to even the odds for the post-match brawl.
- MJF and The Hurt Syndicate signed their contracts. He's now officially part of the group. The Sons of Texas came out and Dustin Rhodes cut a promo about how he and Sammy Guevara are "day one guys" and they'll win the tag titles at Double or Nothing.
- Ricochet defeated Anthony Bowens by pinfall. Mark Briscoe attacked Ricochet after the match to hype up their stretcher match.
- Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter had their face-to-face, which was much less cordial than Ospreay and Page, as they got into a fight, which Hayter came out on top of.
- Mina Shirakawa defeated Julia Hart by pinfall. "Timeless" Toni Storm was on commentary. Shirakawa put a Figure 4 on Hart after the match. Skye Blue came to Hart's defense. Storm then went after Blue and Hart, along with Shirakawa. Storm and Shirakawa then got into a scrap, ending with Shirakawa putting a Figure 4 on the champion leveraged around the ring post.
- The two sides of the Anarchy in the Arena match had a brawl to end the show, with the heels getting the edge.
