AEW is on the precipice of making history when it holds All In at London's Wembley Stadium later this month. However, while company President Tony Khan is ecstatic about beating a WWE record, the company's talent isn't quite so happy.
According to SEScoops, wrestlers are once again questioning Khan's unorthodox leadership skills. Why? Well, the show is a mere 11 days away and the card isn't exactly packed for what's being billed as a WrestleMania-level show.
"A lot are upset about Wembley," one source tells the site. "Maybe if it were just Wembley, it would be different. But with everything that's happened over the last year, it's becoming the one major issue."
"People want to know if they're going to London, what the card is going to be...it's a show everyone wants to be on. It's like our WrestleMania 3, or maybe our WrestleMania 1, but there isn't any urgency. People are scared we aren't going to live up to this moment."
The card is somewhat underwhelming, with two babyfaces headlining the show and a number of bouts which arguably wouldn't be out of place on a Wednesday or Saturday night.
Concerns about injuries are one possible explanation, though a fear talent will be unable to compete several weeks after a match is announced says a lot about how reckless AEW has become.
While injuries happen, they're prevalent in AEW due to wrestlers being given perhaps too much freedom to do whatever they like in the ring, usually during shows which are airing for free on television. Recently, there have even been rumblings about Khan finally outlawing some dangerous spots on TV, though it may be too little, too late.
We'll see what happens, but All In has the potential to be a solid show and the hope now is that the card will have taken shape by the time next week's AEW Dynamite rolls around.
