CM Punk Responds To Darby Allin's Best In The World Comments: "That’s [Daniel] Bryan, Right?"

CM Punk definitely appears to be having fun teasing fans as rumours continue to swirl he's heading to AEW, and that includes commenting on Darby Allin's recent Dynamite tease about facing the Best in the World.

Reliable sources have claimed that CM Punk is definitely heading to AEW, and it's believed that he'll make his debut for the company on the August 20 episode of AEW Rampage

The show launches this Friday, but with next week's episode taking place in Chicago...well, where better than that to bring Punk back into the wrestling world? On the July 28 episode of Dynamite, you'll remember that there were a few possible references to the former WWE Champion, including Darby Allin saying he wants to face "the best in the world" at Rampage

Doing the rounds to promote his role in Starz series Heels, Punk was asked about Allin's comments.

"Listen, 'best in the world,' that could be anybody. That’s Bryan, right? That’s my assumption. I hear 'best in the world,' I think Bryan. I think Darby Allin is great. I think everyone in the wrestling world needs to never do a dive ever again because you can’t do it better than Darby."

It totally feels like he's trolling us here, right? Punk is, of course, referring to Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson, but the one-time longest-reigning WWE Champion is best known by that moniker. Bryan is also expected to head to AEW in coming weeks, so these two could soon be competing in the same ring again imminently.

We'll just have to wait and see, but you can check out Punk's comments about Allin in the Tweet below:
