Cody Will Face Brodie Lee For The TNT Title In A Dog Collar Match Next Week On AEW DYNAMITE

Brodie Lee laid down a challenge (kinda) for a Dog Collar Match, and last night on AEW Dynamite, Cody accepted. The American Nightmare will face The Exalted One with the TNT title on the line next Wednesday.

Cody returned last week on AEW Dynamite to seek revenge on Brodie Lee and members of his Dark Order, and following a brief skirmish, The Exalted One appeared to challenge The American Nightmare to a Dog Collar Match.

Lee didn't make it very clear in his promo, but we got confirmation this week on Dynamite when Cody officially accepted the challenge.

Rhodes made his way out to the ring for an interview, acknowledging his recent 3-minute loss to Lee when he was beaten for the TNT title. After swerving us by initially turning down the bout based on how potentially violent and unpredictable it'll be, he agreed to face Lee in a Dog Collar Match for the TNT Championship next week.

The announcers hammered home how brutal Dog Collar Matches have been in the past (they usually tend to be pretty sloppy affairs, tbh), so we can probably expect a lot of blood and carnage when these two clash for the title next week.

Also announced for the special 30 Years of Chris Jericho Anniversary show: Will Hobbs will challenge Brian Cage for his FTW Championship, and The Demo God himself will team with Jake Hager to take on Chaos Project.
