TNT Champion Daniel Garcia teamed up with FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler on tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite in a losing effort against The Undisputed Kingdom's Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong.
The match got more and more heated throughout the contest, which was a competitive bout all the way to the final pinning combination, which saw Adam Cole snatch Daniel Garcia's legs and barely hold him down for a three-count while everyone was tangled up together.
Almost immediately after the bell rang, it was announced via the commentary team that Tony Khan had taken the initiative to book Adam Cole in a match against Daniel Garcia on this Saturday night's episode of AEW Collision with the TNT Championship on the line.
After the match, tension was still running high, leading to a situation where Garcia and FTR got into a shoving fight with The Undisputed Kingdom, rather than any handshakes or signs of respect.
Also as a result of this result, there will be a tag team match with FTR against Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong.
As it stands, those are the only two matches announced for Collision, and no matches have been announced for AEW Dynamite next week.
There will, however, be two promo segments on Collision, as Kenny Omega will talk about his upcoming match at Revolution against Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship, and there will be a medical update on "Timeless" Toni Storm after the women's world champion was attacked last week by Mariah May.
To recap, here is your advertised lineup for AEW Collision:
- AEW TNT Championship Match: Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Adam Cole
- FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong
- An update on "Timeless" Toni Storm
- Promo from Kenny Omega
