Could we see a new TNT Champion on April 6th?

For the past couple of months, Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia have been battling for the TNT Championship. However, the former kept getting screwed one way or another in his previous matches. Cole earned the right to challenge when he beat Garcia and FTR in a six-man tag team match with his Undisputed Kingdom buddies.

The first match between the two ended in a no contest thanks to Shane Taylor Promotions (Carlie Bravo, Lee Moriarty, Shane Taylor & Shawn Dean). Once Adam and Daniel handled that faction, the two fought once again and Adam Cole was seconds away from beating Daniel Garcia. Then the time ran out. Garcia actually seemed proud of himself over keeping his belt thanks to a time limit draw.

As you can imagine, Adam Cole was heated about Garcia weaseling out with the belt and he confronted the TNT Champion on Collision. Cole essentially called for a rematch and played Garcia’s words against him. The 26-year-old eventually agreed to one more match, but with a couple of stipulations. The match can’t have any outside interference and there’s no time limit. A winner must be determined. Cole agreed and the TNT title match was made official.

This will be Daniel Garcia’s eighth title defense. The TNT Champion has successfully defended his belt against Mark Briscoe, Katsuyori Shibata, Jay Lethal, and Lee Moriarty. He’s kept the title for over 120 days. Will Adam Cole finally win his first AEW Championship at Dynasty? Or will Daniel Garcia prove that he’s the better man? We’ll find out April 6th! Check out the updated card for Dynasty:

  • AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Megan Bayne
  • AEW International Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Ricochet
  • TNT Championship: Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Adam Cole with no outside interference and no time limit
  • AEW World Trios Championship: Death Riders (c) vs. Rated FTR
