FTR are the new AEW Tag Team Champions after defeating Kenny Omega and Adam Page at All Out, but the match didn't play out as many expected it would.
The story heading into the bout was the apparent mental collapse of The Hangman, with his partner wondering if they'd be able to stay on the same page long enough to fend off their challengers. They seemed to be doing well, but one mistake ultimately cost them the titles when Omega hit Page with a V-Trigger, setting him up for FTR's Mind Breaker (assisted spike piledriver) and the big loss.
Most people assumed Hangman would end up turning on Omega and joining forces with FTR, but Kenny ended up walking out on Adam after contemplating whacking him with a chair.
After what we've already seen with Page costing The Young Bucks their match, this... didn't make a whole lot of sense. Maybe there is a long-term plan in place for this angle, but right now it looks like they're making it up as they go along, and that's never going to be succeed in engaging viewers to the fullest.
