HEELS Star Stephen Amell Reveals What CM Punk Told Him When Asked About Those Huge AEW Rumors

CM Punk is once again the talk of the IWC, and while all the signs are pointing to him having signed a deal with AEW, this is one of those situations where we won't believe it until he steps into the ring.

Punk has done a fair bit of acting work in recent years, of course, and will soon be seen in Starz series Heels alongside Arrow alum Stephen Amell. Talking about how much fun it was to work with the former WWE Superstar, Amell then went on to reveal he'd asked Punk about the big AEW rumours.

"I don’t want to betray stuff that I’ve talked about with Phil," he started. "I actually texted him when all this stuff broke, like ‘you coming back?’ And he sent me back a photo of a cat shrugging. Look, anything, as a general rule, anything in the world of pro wrestling that is going to piss Vince McMahon off and get his competitive juices flowing is probably good for business. Maybe great."

"The only thing that I know for sure is that Phil can still go, for sure. He’s in great shape. I would love to see those guys show up in AEW, or WWE. Phil vs. Triple H, you name it. It be great."

So, that's definitely not confirmation, but it's certainly not going to do anything to slow down the crazy speculation we're seeing online ahead of Punk's apparent debut at All Out in Chicago! The Best in the World is clearly keeping his cards close to his chest, but that show is now just weeks away.

Keep checking back here for updates as we have them.
