Isiah Kassidy Of Private Party Feels That The Tag Team Division In AEW Has Been Forgotten About

The AEW World Tag Team Champions discussed the state of their division and Isiah Kassidy feels that they've been lost in the shuffle as of late.

Private Party are the AEW World Tag Team Champions.

However, it’s been noticeable how Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen disappeared from Dynamite after they beat The Young Bucks on the Fright Night special of the Wednesday show. Private Party were happy that they reached the top of the mountain and expressed that sentiment with Tim Battle and Eli on the Battleground Podcast shortly after their title win.

“I just thought of it like, about damn time, we did it. So legacy, this proves it. This right here is the legacy. This is what we’ve been striving for, this is what we wanted since we were training in a boxing gym. This is everything. You ever think of those guys that want to climb mountains and how they feel when they finally got to the top of the mountain? That’s how we feel. We made the climb. We’re on top of the mountain," Quen said.

But the duo haven't got much of a chance to shine on Dynamite. Private Party has only one tag team title defense since their big win. It feels as if the tag team division has been on the sidelines for a while. Even when The Young Bucks held those belts, their tag team matches were infrequent, even if the duo appeared on Dynamite every week.

The AEW World Tag Team Champions know that they’re the leaders of the division, but they feel that it’s been lost in the shuffle as of late, We’re the leaders of the tag division and I want to do a fresh restart,” Kassidy said to Courtney Devores of the Charlotte Observer,. (AEW) had the throne for the best tag-team division (in the industry), but I think it’s been forgotten about.”

Fans were genuinely upset at The Bucks for barely defending their belts over the past Summer. Everyone thought that the division would get back on track when Private Party won those belts, but they’ve been pushed to Rampage and select appearances on Collision. Hopefully, with The Continental Classic coming to an end, that means Private Party would get more screen time on the main show.

It’s strange how disinterested Tony Khan seems to be with the tag team division at the moment. It was a big reason why everyone loved AEW in the beginning because of their focus on the tag team division. Private Party should be showcased more to prove that they certainly belong in the conversation as one of the best tag teams in the world.
