Can Powerhouse Hobbs put an end to the Death Riders?

To the surprise of many, the former TNT Champion won the Casino Gauntlet match last week to earn a shot at the AEW World title. Hobbs stared down Moxley and The Death Riders on Collision and the number one contender stood tall against the imposing faction!

Powerhouse Hobbs is coming into his title match against Moxley strong; however, there’s a reason that the AEW World Champion has held the prestigious belt four times; Moxley knows how to get the job done. Considering that he has an entire crew to help him retain his coveted title, will Powerhouse Hobbs fall to the numbers game tonight? Or will he win the AEW World title for the first time in his career.

In his first match on Dynamite in nearly two years, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega returns to face Brian Cage. Omega is coming off a hot match against Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty, can Omega continue to build that momentum by getting a win over one of Don Callis’ henchmen?

The women will get an opportunity to fight for a chance to challenge Mariah May at Grand Slam on February 15th. For the first time ever, eight women must go through a Gauntlet match in order to become the number one contender.  Who will emerge victorious and earn the right to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship?

Also, expect Ricochet to address him murdering injuring former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. The former WWE star has been going through changes in the past couple of months. After being humiliated by Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate, Ricochet has been showcasing a darker side. However, Strickland embarrassed the new AEW star, which sent Ricochet over the edge. How will Ricochet explain his actions from two weeks ago?

All this and more is set for tonight’s Maximum Carnage special. Check out the advertised line-up below:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Powerhouse Hobbs for the AEW World Championship
  • Casino Gauntlet match for a shot at the AEW Women’s Championship at Grand Slam Australia on February 15
  • Kenny Omega vs. Brian Cage
  • Christian Cage vs. Hook
  • The Hurt Syndicate vs. Mark Briscoe and “Private Party” Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy
