Kiera Hogan Says That Wrestling Was Always A Stepping Stone

The AEW star has popped back up on television, but in a new reality series as Kiera Hogan is part of Joseline's Cabaret in California.

Is Kiera Hogan done with professional wrestling?

The 30-year-old is part of the new season of Joseline’s Cabaret in California. She introduced herself as “The Hottest Flame”, but the interesting part is that Hogan stated that wrestling was just a stepping stone.

The series follows reality star Joseline Hernandez’s journey in launching her own cabaret show in Miami, Florida. As of this moment, Kiera Hogan hasn’t stated that she’s retiring from professional wrestling. Her profile remains on the AEW roster page, though the last time there were talks about her return was back in January. It appears that Kiera is one of the plenty of talents that AEW simply has nothing for. That’s pure speculation on my end.

The former TNA/Impact Wrestling had such a promising outlook when she made her debut in 2017. Hogan had charisma and though she wasn’t the best in-ring talent, she certainly improved as the years went by.

Then Kiera made the jump over to AEW in 2021. Her big break in the promotion was being paired with Jade Cargill and Red Velvet in a group known as the Baddies. But Hogan was removed from the group in late 2022.

Since then, Hogan was a mainstay in Ring of Honor and she even had a great Street Fight against Athena in 2023. Since then, Hogan has mainly floated around the mid-card, though she did compete in the ROH Women’s World Television tournament. Hogan was eliminated in the first round.

Hogan was sidelined with an injury back in June 2024, but rumors circulated that she would be returning to AEW around January. That never happened. However, Kiera did make her in-ring return back in April with her TNA/Impact Wrestling partner, Tasha Steelz. That’s the only match she’s had in 2025 so far. We’ll find out someday what the status of Kiera and AEW is.

While it’s possible that Hogan might return to ROH, the AEW star would be a great addition to the AEW women’s roster. Hogan was really coming into her own as a likable babyface during her final years within Impact Wrestling. It would be a shame if AEW simply put her back in a meaningless position within ROH. Or it’s quite possible that Tony Khan just has no interest in bringing Hogan back and may let her contract expire. There’s no word on when Hogan’s deal with AEW ends.
