Instead of airing on its usual Saturday time slot, this week's episode of AEW Collision will be taking place live tomorrow night (Thursday, May 8, 2025) at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, Michigan—the same location that hosted tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite.
Several matches have been advertised for tomorrow's show (which doesn't particularly feel like a grandiose one in my personal opinion, if you're looking for this author's point of view).
Without much fanfare, it was announced that Anthony Bowens will face Lee Johnson, "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Dralistico II was hyped a bit, and Daniel Garcia will be up against one of the members of FTR (either Cash Wheeler or Dax Harwood—they're leaving it as a mystery for now).
More emphasis was put on the only women's match announced so far, which will be Willow Nightingale against Kris Statlander.
That came about after a backstage segment where Statlander interrupted Nightingale's interview in an attempt to talk to her, apologize for their past transgressions, and get back to being friends again. Nightingale wasn't quick to be on the same page, pointing out how Statlander cost her the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament last year and such. However, she did suggest they could settle their differences in the ring tomorrow night, and they shook hands with that challenge accepted.
Only one more match was announced for next week's Dynamite.
Kicking off tonight's episode was a promo with Will Ospreay and "Hangman" Adam Page that The Don Callis Family interrupted. Ospreay decided to put out a challenge for Don Callis to pick two of his faction's members to go up against Ospreay and Page, volunteering his Double or Nothing opponent to stand beside him, despite how Page didn't speak up to want to do that at all. Clearly, they'll have issues working together next week.
Something else for next week is that The Hurt Syndicate will seemingly finally make a decision about whether MJF can join the group. However, even that isn't set in stone, as when they were talking about that, their "legal council" came over and told them to keep quiet.
The true headlining act for next week's Dynamite is a steel cage match for the AEW World Championship as Samoa Joe challenges Jon Moxley, which had been announced last week.
It's not yet been confirmed when the one last match will take place, but it's possible for Dynamite, where The Don Callis Family's RPG Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero), Lance Archer, and Kyle Fletcher will go up against The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) and two unannounced teammates. That challenge was put out there by Don Callis without a date advertised.
