MJF Dropped A HUGE Reference To CM Punk At The End Of Last Night's AEW DYNAMITE

With CM Punk and Daniel Bryan rumoured to be on their way to All Elite Wrestling, fans are already going crazy thinking about all the amazing matches the two former WWE Champions could have.

However, you have to believe there will also be some great promos, particularly where Punk is involved. The prospect of him trading insults with someone like MJF, for example, is thrilling, and last night's episode of Dynamite ended with him making a reference to the Best in the World.

Once again confronting Chris Jericho, he said: "Chris, as you sit there in more pain than you’ve ever been in your entire life, I need you to listen to me..." Does that sound familiar? It should because back in 2011, Punk started his pipebomb promo by saying, "John Cena, while you lay there hopefully as uncomfortable as you can possibly can be, I want you to listen to me..."

This has to be deliberate and was a smart way for AEW to continue teasing fans.

At this point, it makes no sense for the company to tease fans like this - or to have Tony Khan issue a "no comment" - because the backlash online would be significant. That wouldn't be a good look for AEW, and with so many reliable sources claiming Punk and Bryan will soon be "All Elite," it seems it's really happening.
