Nick Wayne defeated Komander on the Spring BreakThru special episode of AEW Collision (April 17, 2025) to win the ROH World Television Championship.
Any title change is an impressive feat, especially when it is someone's first singles title victory, but this is especially true because it means Nick Wayne now has two records to his name of being the youngest champion in some fashion.
Last year, when Wayne won the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Killswitch and Christian Cage as part of The Patriarchy, he became the youngest champion of any title in AEW history at 19. As he still hasn't turned 20 (does so on July 10th), winning this title tonight means he can also check off being the youngest singles champion to go with his tag team honor. Of course, no one else on the roster is as young as Wayne anyway, so even if he had turned 20 already, that wouldn't have made a difference.
But as this is a Ring of Honor title, this means Wayne also, by proxy, has become the youngest singles champion in ROH history. Prior to this, Rok-C (NXT's Roxanne Perez) was the youngest ROH champion as the inaugural ROH Women's World Champion, also at 19, however, just about a month older than Wayne is right now.
Wayne received this title opportunity in the first place as a result of Christian Cage, who informed him of this last night on AEW Dynamite. Cage also claimed he's the reason why Wayne will be competing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
Whether this will result in Cage being a proud "father", or upset over the idea that Wayne seems to know how to get the job done and win a title even on short notice, while he botched his AEW World Championship cash-in after months of plotting out the best strategy, remains to be seen.
Komander's run comes to an end at 119 days after having won the title from Brian Cage on December 20, 2024 at ROH Final Battle in a Survival of the Fittest match that also involved AR Fox, Blake Christian, Mark Davis, and Willie Mack.
