Could there be somthing more to issues between AEW and Rey Fenix?
Rey Fenix’s contract was supposed to end in the summer, but Tony Khan added injury time, which extended his contract deep into 2025. The former International Champion has not been on AEW television since July.
Rey Fenix is speaking out a little more about his displeasure with AEW management. Now, his first tweet is anonymous enough that it’s not clear who he's talking about:
“I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months,” Fenix wrote.
But it was his response to Dr. Chris Featherstone of the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast that has everyone now suspecting mistreatment from AEW management. Fenix had simply tweeted in response, “so far the most accurate comment.”
Below is what Dr. Chis Featherstone said about the situation:
Fenix responded below by stating that he can’t speak on it now due to contractual agreements, but he will have his time. Tony Khan has yet to respond to any of this. Now this has yet to be proven so this is all alleged at this point, but this certainly isn't a good look for Tony Khan unless he clears up the situation.
In terms of Penta El Zero Miedo, the former AEW star sounds WWE bound.
The former AEW star quietly parted ways from AEW last week and it was confirmed when his picture was taken off of the roster page. Penta El Zero Miedo made a surprise appearance in AAA, and it appears that the speech is bidding the fans in Mexico goodbye.
Now it’s only a matter of time before Penta El Zero Miedo makes his WWE debut. With the Royal Rumble around the corner, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was an entrant in the upcoming event. While things are certainly looking up to the 39-year-old, his brother is clearly unhappy with his placement in AEW.
