Will a new world champion be crowned tonight?
Samoa Joe will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World title. The AEW Trios Champion has gotten the better of Moxley over the past several weeks; first by forcing him to tap out in a six-man tag team match. Then by choking out the champ in the weeks after that huge win. However, The Death Riders have been taking out Joe’s allies one by one.
Both men come in with a chip on their shoulder. Moxley has been embarrassed by Joe for the past several weeks and looks for redemption. Joe has been patiently waiting for his world title rematch after dropping the belt in 2024. With so much riding high on tonight’s title match, who will be the last man standing in what’s sure to be a violent steel cage match.
Will Ospreay and Hangman Page will work together before their encounter at Double or Nothing. While the Owen Hart Foundation tournament competitors aren’t exactly heated rivalries, Ospreay and Page aren’t particularly friends either. Though these two share a common enemy, we’ve already seen some seed of dissension before this tag team match was announced. Can Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander take advantage of that glaring weakness and beat Hangman Page & Will Ospreay?
Ricochet is an evil man. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion pulled a heinous act on Collision by destroying Zach Gowen and stealing his prosthetic leg. Despite his disability, Gowen is actually an accomplished wrestler who made waves in the WWE back in the early 2000’s. Can the former WWE star get revenge on the arrogant egghead that humiliated him last week?
Also, Bobby Lashley will finally make his decision on whether MJF can join The Hurt Syndicate. The former AEW World Champion has been doing everything in his power to get into the good graces of Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin. Will the former WWE Champion finally give MJF the green light?
