There Was An Interesting Jeff Hardy Reference During AEW DYNAMITE Last Night - Is A Debut Imminent?

Jeff Hardy wasn't AEW President Tony Khan's big surprise during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, but there was a pretty interesting reference to the Charismatic Enigma. Will he soon be "All Elite"?

There was a big debut during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite (you can read more about that by clicking here), but it wasn't Jeff Hardy. He's still under a non-compete after being released by WWE and won't be a free agent until early next month; then, it's expected that the Charismatic Enigma will join his brother, Matt, by becoming "All Elite."

AEW seemingly hinted at that last night when Matt Hardy walked out on Isiah Kassidy during his match. After jumping over the guardrail to take his leave, Tony Schiavone pointed out that it appeared to be an "erratic" move on the pro wrestling legend's part.

This is obviously a reference to Jeff leaving through the crowd during a WWE Live event. His behaviour was described as "erratic" by those within WWE at the time, though a drug test would later come back and prove he wasn't under the influence of any substances (unfortunately for WWE, that was after Jeff's release and explains why he refused their offer of rehab).

Needless to say, common sense says we will ultimately see Jeff in AEW and this throwaway comment was seemingly a way to tease that. It's previously been reported that WWE offered Jeff the chance to return and be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but it seems he's not interested.

Given how he was being booked prior to his release, the former WWE Champion is no doubt glad to be free of his former employer. In AEW, he and Matt can reunite and end their careers on a high.

Such a crazy move by WWE. They asked him to go to rehab and fired him before they even knew the drug test results. They clearly had no faith whatsoever in him.
