Possible Date For Former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt's Rumored AEW Debut Revealed - SPOILERS
Rumour has it that Bray Wyatt is looking to make the leap to AEW as one of their biggest final signings of 2021, and we may now have an idea of when Windham Rotunda could make his debut for the company...
While it hasn't been confirmed, multiple outlets have reported that Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) is heading to AEW as soon as his 90-day non-compete with WWE ends. WWE shocked the world when they released The Fiend at the end of July, especially as he was a major player on RAW leading up to WrestleMania; the reason for his departure was so-called "budget cuts."
As one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE (and a creative powerhouse), there's a lot Wyatt could bring to AEW, and we may now have an idea of exactly when that will begin.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current chatter points to Wyatt making his "All Elite" debut on the September 29 edition of Dynamite. That show will be held in Rochester, New York, the hometown of the late, great Brodie Lee.
What's interesting about this is the fact Wyatt's non-compete expires on Friday, October 29, a week before AEW Full Gear on November 6 and a full month after that Dynamite. It's possible he's reached some sort of agreement with WWE, though, especially as you have to believe this will be a very special episode that pays homage to what a great talent and person Lee was.
Meltzer notes that Wyatt has also been in talks with IMPACT, so we'll see him back in the ring soon.
