ROH continues to upload hidden gems from their library and the latest match is The Young Bucks vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico.
In 2009, The former multi-time ROH World Tag Team Champions made their debuts within the independent promotion. As many of you know, Matt and Nick Jackson is one of the most decorated tag teams to enter the ROH ring.
Throughout their tenure, the brothers would have excellent feuds against teams such as The Briscoes (Mark and Jay Briscoe), reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly), and The Hardys. The duo didn’t really make an impact until their return to ROH following their stint with TNA/Impact Wrestling, with Matt & Nick Jackson joining the Bullet Club and going on to become three-time ROH World Tag Team Champions.
In addition, The Bucks made waves down in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, as the duo won the IWGP Tag Team titles eight times and the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles three times (twice with Kenny Omega and once with Marty “The Villain” Scurll).
However, before becoming a big name in the world of tag team wrestling, The Young Bucks had to start somewhere, and the promotion released a match against Kevin Steen and El Generico at ROH Contention 2009. Matt and Nick were just starting out in the company while Steen and Generico were already an established duo. Check out the exciting tag team match between the four men below:
