Abadon is officially set for Effy’s Big Gay Brunch.
At the moment, Abadon status with All Elite Wrestling isn’t particularly clear. Though her profile remains on the roster page, it’s been reported that she’s not expected to re-sign with AEW once her contract expires. Whatever the case may be, Abadon should have no trouble finding work outside of AEW because she’s deeply ingrained into the independent culture.
It helps that she does events like Effy’s Big Gay Brunch. The Game Changer Wrestling event is part of GCW’s The Collective, which will be held during WrestleMania week in Las Vegas, Nevada. Effy’s Big Gay Brunch 10 will take place on April 19th. Thus far, an opponent has yet to be announced for Abadon. It’s already been announced that Zack Sabre Jr. is scheduled to take on Kidd Bandit. Former NWA World Television Champion Max the Impaler will also be in action.
In terms of Abadon, she’s been working the occasional indie event here and there in the past couple of months, but she’s pretty quiet for the most part. She’ll definitely make a fun addition to the upcoming Las Vegas show.
For those of you wondering what Effy’s Big Gay Brunch is, it’s just an event that showcases some of the biggest names in wrestling who happen to be in the LGBTQIA+ community. Of course, certain talents aren’t in the queer community, but the purpose of the show is to bring a fun and vibrant atmosphere that can be missing at most wrestling events.
Effy’s Big Gay Brunch joins the big week of independent wrestling alongside Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and Joey Janela’s Spring Break. Past Big Gay Brunch shows have featured notable names such as Steph De Lander, Fred Rosser (WWE’s Darren Young), Sonny Kiss, and Max The Impaler.
One of the best weeks in professional wrestling is WrestleMania week and on paper, fans will seemingly get their money’s worth with such incredible talent working various shows throughout the week.
