The downfall of KENTA continued, as the former WWE star has now lost his third match in a row.
This time it was to Bad Luck Fale, who used his strength, Chase Owens, and Jado to his advantage. The Bullet Club member distracted the referee immediately when it seemed like KENTA was getting the advantage. Jado connected with a kendo stick to the back and Fale targeted that area as he beatdown KENTA like a rag doll.
KENTA took down Fale with his strikes and mounted a comeback that saw him nail a tornado DDT and a top rope clothesline. Jado tried to interfere once again, but the former 205 Live star still managed to take down Fale with a DDT that got him a nearfall.
A short time later, KENTA set up the Go To Sleep, but Fale countered out of it and nailed a clothesline. Fale attempted to hit the Grenade, but KENTA transitioned into a triangle choke, then switched over to his Game Over submission.
Chase Owens distracted the referee and Jado entered the ring; however, KENTA released the submission and made Jado pay for his interference in the match. Fale used the distraction to his advantage by rolling up KENTA for a three count.
Bad Luck Fale’s G1 Climax tournament score is now 2-5 (4 points), whereas KENTA’s score is now 4-3 (8 points).
