Not surprisingly, Fale tried to get the upper hand by attacking Ibushi as soon as he got into the ring. The Bullet Club member was in control of the early portion off the match-up thanks to the assault; however, that all changed when Ibushi was able to get out of a bear hug and mount a devastating comeback.

As in the other tournament matches, Chase Owens and Jado played a pivotal role in the Fale gaining the advantage throughout the bout, but the referee finally had enough of the shenanigans from both men, and forced them to leave towards the end.

This opened the door for Ibushi to pin Bad Luck Fale within 10 minutes after a Kamigoye.

The Golden Star's G1 Climax score is 4-2 (8 points), whereas Bad Luck Fale’s record is now 1-5 (2 points).
