On Saturday night, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion officially made his professional wrestling debut, teaming with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown to take on El Texano, Killer Kross, and Taurus.

Despite his background in amateur wrestling and of course, mixed martial arts, Velasquez barely displayed any of his moves that he uses inside the octagon. In fact, the UFC Heavyweight pulled off some impressive moves such as a hurrarcarana and springboard arm drag.

The story of the match was that nobody was looking to mess with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion; When the 37-year-old finally tagged in, he went wild and looked good inside the ring. The bout ended when Cain grabbed Texano, rolled him around and then put him in the kimura for the submission victory.

Velasquez has stated that he has two more matches for AAA, though it’s unknown when the UFC heavyweight will wrestle again.
