Chris Jericho recently sat down with Collider Live to touch on a number of topics and he was asked about the rumours that CM Punk could sign with All Elite Wrestling. However, Jericho believes that the company doesn't actually need the former WWE Champion.
"Do we need him? No," he stated. "Would it be a huge pop to get him? Yes. I don’t know, man. I don’t know what his attitude or mindset is. I think our roster is jam-packed right now."
Jericho went on to say that AEW isn't actually looking to sign a lot of WWE talent but laughed at the fact they're offering Superstars huge money to stick around. He added that they have no desire to follow in WCW or TNA's footsteps by becoming WWE-lite.
"We have enough guys that no one has seen before," he added. "We got a lot of young guys like Jungle Boy, MJF, both those guys are 23 years old. That appeals to a different demographic. My daughters are 12 and they don’t like wrestling but they like Jungle Boy."
