It’s been speculated that AEW would soon introduce a world title into the picture, but the question was, who would end up as champion? On the final episode of ‘The Road to Double or Nothing’, fans finally got confirmation that the AEW World Championship would possibly be revealed on May 25th.

The design of the belt has been teased previously in the past, though it has yet to be shown. During the episode, Jack Whitehall attempted to remove the belt from its bag but he was unable to do so. Claiming the belt was too heavy, he stated that fans will just have to take his word for it. It was also confirmed that the winner of Jericho/Omega will go on to face the winner of the Casino Battle Royale match to determine the inaugural AEW World Champion.

The participants of the Casino Battle Royale are as follows: Sonny Kiss, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Glacier, Brian Pillman Jr., Sunny Daze, MJF, Joey Janela, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Dustin Thomas, Jungle Boy, Michael Nakzawa, Private Party, Luchasaurus, Shawn Spears.
