Zack Sabre Jr. looked to carry his momentum forward by using his technical prowess to out maneuver EVIL; The New Japan star targeted the former IWGP Tag Team Champion’s leg throughout the bout.

EVIL got to show of his technical skills and also used his power to gain the advantage over Zack; however, ZSJ was able to counter a sharpshooter attempt into one of his own and the England native regained control from that moment on.

However, EVIL had a fiery comeback after escaping the octopus stretch, and connected with Darkness Falls. ZSJ was able to get the Los Ingobernables de Japon member into a pinning combination for a nearfall, but EVIL came back and nailed his finisher, Everything is Evil and got the three count within 16 minutes.

EVIL’s score in the G1 Climax tournament is 3-2 (6 points), whereas Zack Sabre Jr’s record is now 1-4 (2 points).
