Bloodsport II has added another name to their event, as former PRIDE and DREAM Fighter Ikuhisa Minowa will make his debut under the Bloodsport banner.
Minowa made his mixed martial arts debut back in 1996 and the Japanese star would eventually fight under the PRIDE and DREAM promotions. While Minowa would not win any championships during his tenure in both companies, he’s had unforgettable encounters against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Wanderlei Silva, and Mirko Cro Cop.
His biggest accolade in the sport comes from winning the 2009 DREAM Super Hulk tournament. Minowa transitioned to professional wrestling back in 2010 and has worked on the independent scene since then. Bloodsport II is set to take place on September 14, with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett taking on Jon Moxley in the main event.
