The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion has indeed confirmed that he's leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling behind; however, KUSHIDA's final match in the promotion is a dream encounter against an IWGP champion.

Kenny Omega isn’t the only familiar face that’s leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling as former six-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion, KUSHIDA, is set to leave the company once his contract expires as well.

However, the New Japan veteran is leaving on a high note as KUSHIDA will be facing IWGP Heavyweight champion Hiroshi Tanahashi in his final match in the promotion.


The bout is set to take place inside the Korakuen Hall. On Jan. 29 at Road To New Beginning. KUSHIDA has expressed his desire to face the man he calls a mentor and now he’ll be getting his dream match on his way out of the company.
