Unfortunately, English professional wrestler Charlie Morgan has been forced to retired due to a serious injury.

Morgan began her wrestling journey in 2011, and is considered one of the best female wrestlers on the independent scene. The England native has worked for NXT UK, PROGRESS, SHIMMER and was a regular headliner from the all-female group EVE. She announced her retirement at the group’s Wrestle Queendom 2 event this past weekend.

What forced Morgan to hang up the boots was an ankle injury she suffered in SHIMMER against Kimber Lee back in late March, which ended up being a lot more serious than she first thought. Although reports had indicated her recovery was going well, the injury was so serious that it required surgery and Morgan has been forced to step away from the ring as a result.
