It’s been known for months now that Dalton Castle has been dealing with several injuries, which has forced him to be pulled from multiple Ring of Honor tours, and his in-ring load drastically altered.
Castle was able to retain his title at Best in the World, but he then dropped the world title to Jay Lethal the following night at the Fairfax Excellence television tapings, in a bout that was almost immediately uploaded online for Honor Club subscribers.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Castle is currently suffering from “a herniated disc in his lower back, a fractured lower back, a displaced hip, a left hamstring injury and a broken hand as well,”
There’s no news yet on if surgery will be required or how long he might be out of action. The fact that he worked through the recent tours and defended the title twice in 24 hours last weekend through all of those injuries is truly astounding.
